Overall revenue generated by the auto rental industry increased 3.9% in 2013 to a record $24.55 billion, up from $23.60 billion in 2012. The average fleet size for the U.S. car rental industry was 1.95 million in 2013, an increase of 4.8% over 2012. The industry average revenue per rental unit, per month, was $1,048 in 2013.
