New York, New York – February 1, 2006 – The Radio Advertising Bureau (RAB) and BMI have announced the recipients of the FastStart to Radio Sales Success Minority Scholarship Program. This is the fifth consecutive year that BMI has sponsored the minority scholarship program that provides full tuition to the RAB’s Radio Training Academy in Dallas, Texas, or the Academy’s Off-Campus Extension Program.
The 13 minority recipients represent a broad range of group sizes and come from various markets and regions across the country.The recipients are:

Scholarships are awarded based on various criteria including ethnicity of applicant, overall need, applicant’s enthusiasm toward a career in Radio sales, and recommendations from professional associates. Recipients are chosen by the Selection Committee, which is comprised of industry professionals with an interest in enhancing the ethnic and cultural diversity of Radio. Committee members are:
