RAB To Provide Tools and Training For Germany’s Radiozentrale
New York, New York – April 25, 2006 -- The Radio Advertising Bureau (RAB) has entered into an agreement with Radiozentrale, Germany’s Radio marketing association, to give their members full access to RAB sales and marketing materials, as well as training and consulting services. This “privileged partnership” is a major development in RAB’s accelerated global outreach.
The arrangement allows the newly-formed Radiozentrale to ramp up quickly by immediately providing proven research tools and training programs to its membership. Germany’s largest Radio private ownership groups have joined with public radio and numerous smaller, independent private stations in a common effort to increase Radio’s share of total advertising revenue.
RAB material will be translated into German and repurposed to reflect the nuances of the Radio business as it pertains to Radio broadcasters in German-speaking countries in Europe.
“Given the backdrop of growth in Radio broadcasting globally, we anticipate that this will serve as a model for international cooperation between RAB and other Radio marketing organizations around the world,” observed Gary Fries, President and Chief Executive Officer, RAB.
“We have worked intensively with German Radio broadcasters for several years now, and we are honored to be able to join them in this innovative undertaking ,” noted George Hyde, Executive Vice President, Training and Meetings, RAB, who heads up the international activities. RAB has worked with local broadcasters in more than 45 countries in customized training and consulting activities.
“RAB has consistently provided German-based Radio companies with proven strategies and tactics that help us accelerate our revenue growth,” noted Steffen Mueller, Managing Director of MOIRA Rundfunk, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Radiozentrale.
“Now that we have formed our own Radiozentrale, we are thrilled to be able to offer our members full service support in sales and marketing through services of the RAB,” added Lutz Kuckuck, Managing Director of Radiozentrale.
The Radio Advertising Bureau (RAB) is the sales and marketing arm of the Radio industry with nearly 7,000 members including close to 6,000 stations in the U.S., and over 1,000 associate members in networks, representative firms, sales, and international organizations.
