Advertising Week and the Radio Advertising Bureau to Launch WADV, the Streaming Radio Station of Advertising Week

New York, New York – September 14, 2007 – The Radio Advertising Bureau (RAB), in conjunction with Advertising Week in NY, presents WADV Radio, a streaming Radio station serving the advertising community and dedicated to Advertising Week 2007.  Beginning with a special preview on Friday, September 21st, followed by a full launch on Monday, September 24th and running through Friday, September 28th, WADV will stream from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm ET at www.wadvradio.com, a dedicated microsite that also will be accessible via links from www.advertisingweek.com, and www.rab.com.

 

From live streams to behind-the-scenes, WADV Radio will provide easy access to all the action during Advertising Week 2007, including: keynotes, panels, and sessions; interviews with movers and shakers; event updates and highlights; daily prizes including HD Radios and tickets to invitation-only events; and specially-produced, exclusive programming from CBS RADIO’s six New York stations.

Stationed at the Paley Center for Media on West 52nd Street, WADV listeners are invited to stop by during Advertising Week for an up-close experience of live Radio.  Listeners may also sign up right now to receive daily WADV news alerts that will be e-mailed during Advertising Week.

Streamed content will be available for download from the WADV microsite, allowing attendees even more flexibility with their time and schedules.

Special programming from CBS RADIO’s New York stations, customized to mirror their individual formats, will include live and recorded features from WCBS-FM, 1010 WINS, WFAN, Fresh 102.7, WCBS-AM, and K-ROCK including: morning salutes to advertising and media luminaries; interviews with leading CEO’s and CMO’s; a roundtable discussion on sports marketing; vignettes that spotlight the Greatest Music in Advertising; afternoon recaps of morning sessions; and more.
