Esteemed Panel of Final Round Judges Assembled for 2010 Radio Mercury Awards

Entry Deadline Extended to July 9, 2010

Eligibility Also Extended to May 31, 2010

New York, NY – June 2, 2010 – Co-Chief Judges Mike Hughes, President and Co-Chief Creative Officer and John Norman, Co-Chief Creative Officer from The Martin Agency, will lead an esteemed panel of final round judges for the 2010 Radio Mercury Awards competition. 

The final round judging panel includes: Wayne Best, Executive Creative Director, JWT NY; Rick Boyko, Director & Professor, VCU Brandcenter;  Jim Cook, President, Creative Services Group, Clear Channel Radio; Jose Molla, Co-Founder, Executive Creative Director, la comunidad; Kelly O'Keefe, Managing Director, VCU Brandcenter; Luke Sullivan, SVP, Group Creative Director, GSD&M, Idea City; Rebecca Williams, SVP, Chief Creative Officer, Uniworld Group.

“We’ve been able to build an excellent team of creative minds,” noted Mike Hughes, President and Co-Chief Creative Officer from the Martin Agency. “This final panel not only includes the top agency creatives from all over the country, but also represents brands such as AT&T, BMW, Burger King, GEICO, Home Depot, Kraft, Southwest Airlines, Unilever, and Walmart just to name a few.”

Call for Entries has also been extended to a regular deadline of Friday, July 9, 2010.  Entrants now have until this deadline to enter their work with the general entry fees.  Entrants looking to enter after that date will have until July 23, 2010 to submit during the late fee time period. 

Entrants are also encouraged to enter their more recent creative work. Spots can be entered that initially aired up until May 31, 2010.

The Radio Mercury Awards, the only competition exclusively devoted to radio, was established in 1992 to encourage and reward the development of effective and creative radio commercials. The annual Radio Mercury Awards competition draws entries from advertising agencies, production houses, radio stations, and educational institutions across the country. Approximately 17,000 commercials have competed for over $2.9 million in prizes. The Radio Creative Fund (RCF), a non-profit corporation funded by the radio industry, governs the Radio Mercury Awards. Last year, the $100,000 Grand Prize was awarded to The Richards Group.
