RAB Announces Staff Promotions

NEW YORK – February 2, 2024 – RAB has announced the promotions of three staff members, Kim Johnson, to vice president of professional development; Cynthia Pham, to vice president of digital services and Madison Wright, to director of events and communications.

Kim Johnson is RAB’s vice president of professional development and brings extensive experience to RAB. Kim joined RAB in 2015 as account development manager. With a love of training, she joined RAB’s professional development department as director of sales in 2018. Johnson grew up in radio and that knowledge and experience provide her with a unique ability to understand broadcasters' needs and is a hands-on partner to RAB’s members. Johnson’s leadership role in producing the organization's Rising Through the Ranks has transformed the most sought-after leadership initiative for women in radio. Her strategic vision, coupled with a strong commitment to excellence, has significantly contributed to the success and growth of the RAB’s Professional Development department.

Cynthia Pham joined RAB in 2000. Hired initially to help create databases and programming, as RAB.com was emerging on the internet, her talent as a creative and intuitive programmer became apparent. Since then, she has designed RAB’s proprietary systems touching nearly every aspect of RAB services and operations including, RAB’s CRM product Account Manager, GoCart (RAB’s e-commerce platform), training and education management platform and Radio Mercury Awards’ database and entry platform.

Promoted in July 2023, Madison Wright is the director of events and communications for RAB, intertwining her passions for public relations, social media and creating "memory-making moments" with her love for radio. At RAB, she runs social media for all RAB pages and affiliated pages for Radio Mercury Awards and National Radio Talent System, curates and shares RAB news, as well as produces RAB’s events, and she serves as the producer for the Radio Mercury Awards, the premier radio creative competition. During her time at RAB, Madison was listed on Radio Ink's "30 and Under Superstars" list in 2022.

“RAB is proud and delighted to promote all three dedicated and accomplished team members,” noted Erica Farber, president and chief executive officer. “I am truly excited to see how they will continue to grow professionally and super serve RAB’s membership.”
