On-Air Is From Mars, Digital Is From Venus

Valerie Geller, broadcasting consultant, spoke last week at the NAB Show in Las Vegas on the need for communication within Radio stations. Her example shows the need for communication between Programming and Sales, but it can be applied to any two departments, including traditional media and New Media. This 5-minute video is something every sales department and programming department should see.

Bingo! Valerie Geller was pitch perfect when she teaches by not just example, but by having people learn by putting them in the others' shoes. Nothing beats that for true understanding, the kind needed in order to come together for any meaningful group success. It's a kind of leadership training that wins for everyone. I know it from my experience as a coach. Bravo!

I have seen her presentations and the results of her coaching. She is worth every penny clients pay her. I suggest that if you use her material at no cost, you at least put her contact material on the site so people willing to pay for ratings producing training can contact her.
