What Stations Are Doing: Entravision Raises $2 Million For CMN

Children's Miracle Network Hospitals and Entravision say a record $2,001,050 was raised for 24 member hospitals during the fourth annual network-wide radiothon.

The theme for this year's Radiothon, "Un Million Para Los Niños" (One Million for the Children), was far exceeded by Entravision's leading Spanish-language radio stations, including the José, Super Estrella, El Gato, La Tricolor, Que Pasa 99.5 and Maria formats, and almost doubled last year's record-setting total of $1.2 million.

With more than $2 million raised this year, the event is the most successful Spanish-language Radiothon to benefit Children's Miracle Network Hospitals to date.

"Now in our fourth year of collaborating with Children's Miracle Network Hospitals, we are thrilled to have shattered our previous fundraising record and be able to benefit more hospitals and children than ever before," said Jeffery Liberman, president of Entravision's radio division. "The overwhelming success of this year's Radiothon is truly a testament to the vast reach of Entravision's national radio platform and the great combined force of our Spanish-language listeners."

"We are extremely proud of the great effort by the entire Entravision team nationwide on behalf of the children served by our member hospitals," stated Joe Trevino, vice president of Hispanic programs, Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. "The goal was exceeded because of the personal dedication and commitment by everyone involved; it was truly a team effort by Entravision."

The Radiothon program has been an integral part of Children's Miracle Network Hospitals' fundraising efforts since 1997. Today more than 300 stations participate in Radiothons annually, raising about $50 million for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. Children's Miracle Network Hospitals Radiothons have raised more than $280 million in support of 170 children's hospitals across North America.
