||What Stations Are Doing: NTR Goes to the Delivery Room
Air personalities are often talking about their Lasik eye surgery on the radio as part of testimonial ad campaigns.
But CHR "KS-107.5" KQKS Denver morning co-host Kathie J. is taking it a step further. She's connected with a local hospital's maternity center and says she may even broadcast live during the birth of her first child.
It's part of a larger advertising partnership between the Lincoln Financial Media station and Denver's Swedish Medical Center. Besides the traditional on-air spots and website ads, Kathie will blog about her pregnancy during the coming months. The "baby blog" will be sponsored by Swedish.
"We consider our listeners to be family, so there may be a microphone in the delivery room with me," Kathie jokes.
She plans to be on-air up until her due date of July 16.
