Food Charities Struggle to Offer Healthy Options

Workers with local food banks and community kitchens say providing wholesome, nutritious meals to their clients can be a struggle. With many charities relying heavily on donations, providing healthy food choices sometimes is not an option. And fresh fruits and vegetables almost always are more expensive than processed foods, providers say. |

AWRT & Dove Announce New Campaign
AWRT has partnered with the Dove Campaign for Real Beauty since 2004. Its latest initiative is the Dove Self-Esteem Fund, a new Radio PSA campaign advocating self-esteem in young girls.
Over the next 12 months, AWRT will launch four unique PSAs voiced by celebrities, with film and TV star Amy Poehler featured in the first spot. Her motivational message is available for download at the AWRT website, along with a Proof of Performance sheet.
