I just read Geoffrey James' article in Inc. Magazine on this topic. It can easily be adapted for radio salespeople. James lists a simple, six-step system.
• Have a specific decision in mind
• Start by writing your conclusion
• Structure your supporting argument into "digestible chunks"
• Bolster each argument with evidence
• Repeat your conclusion as a "call to action"
• Stick a benefit in the subject line
