Here's another idea from the NAB Show "Small and Medium Market Idea Exchange" seminar. Chris Bullock with the Cromwell Radio Group said they sell sponsorships to a weekly "Bike Night" during the summer months. Bikers are invited to show up at a different location each week. Clients include beer, restaurants, and Harley dealers.
It's great fun for motorcyclists looking for a reason to ride and show off their bikes. It works for sponsors to where stations had a waiting list of clients to the point where they added a second night called "Full-Throttle Fridays." And it's generating incremental revenue for the stations.
