Home Depot's merchandise review

Home Depot’s fourth quarter produced comp-store sales of positive 5.8 percent, and positive 6.3 percent in the United States, on its way to quarterly sales of $22.2 billion. Speaking to investors during the company’s earnings call, Executive VP of Merchandising Ted Decker pointed to “strength across the store” and growth in all of the retailer’s merchandising departments. Particularly strong was the Pro business, which grew faster than the company comp. And the online business generated sales growth of 19 percent in the fourth quarter, continuing its double digit growth streak, he said.
