RAB introduces GoCart, a new e-Commerce product for members and advertisers alike
The Radio Advertising Bureau has unveiled the latest addition to its growing lineup of revenue-generating products designed to benefit RAB members – as well as their local advertisers.
GoCart is an innovative new e-Commerce tool that enables radio stations to accept trade dollars in the form of products/services, and convert them into ad revenue to supplement spot and digital advertising budgets. It’s been created as a turnkey, user-friendly program for both stations and merchants.
Built on RAB’s reliable ezAuction e-Commerce platform, GoCart intuitively responds to any device, including desktop computers, tablets and mobile phones. Among its features are instantly-redeemable mobile certificates, and options to engage and share specific items with social media audiences.
Members can also post an item on GoCart and place it anywhere, including station and advertiser websites with “buy it now” functionality and real-time inventory controls. In addition, the new program’s branding and promotional inventory offers easy customization possibilities for stations.
GoCart is designed to help stations take advantage of mobile commerce spending that is projected to reach $146 billion in 2018, according to a report by eMarketer.
“It’s essential for broadcasters to offer advertisers effective and secure m-commerce solutions that can power mobile strategies and drive sales while also helping to build strong local brands,” said RAB President/CEO Erica Farber. “We’re thrilled to bring GoCart to market.”
