Excellence Doesn't Happen by Accident
Recently, I was speaking with David Nola, general sales manager for Alpha Media Palm Springs (now Connoisseur), who shares my enthusiasm for professional development, and we discussed the importance of consistency in training.
As a former Marine and football coach, he brought a powerful perspective: "You don't win the battle or the games on Saturday. You win them in the training and preparation leading up to it." The same holds true in our profession. Success isn't about showing up in the moment; it's created in the daily discipline, practice and groundwork that came long before.
Just as a soldier depends on drills and an athlete relies on conditioning, professionals who commit to ongoing training position themselves to thrive when the real challenges arrive.
Excellence doesn't happen by accident. It's the result of intentional, consistent investment in sharpening our skills before the spotlight ever comes on.
Thank you, David, for this vital reminder, but more importantly, thank you for your service!
