Eight in ten of its members who have direct oversight of media negotiations are either increasing their broadcast radio spending or holding budgets flats. Online video and mobile are seeing the greatest gains, but with video preroll and ads on radio websites and mobile apps this gives radio a way to also capture some of these growing digital budgets. Radio still needs to work at telling our story yet it's holding up better than other traditional media.

Your user name and password will not change. What will change are the added features
you will find. The navigation at the top of the page will not change; however, the drop-down menus will make it easier to find the information you are looking for. At a glance you will be able to see "trending now on RAB.com" - based on real time traffic across the new RAB.com, users will be able to view what topics, articles and reports are growing in popularity. All
sections of the site are equipped with a simple Google search tool, so you can easily and
immediately find the research you are looking for.
Over the next few days and weeks you will be hearing more about the new RAB.com, and
we encourage you to jump right in and take advantage of all the information available at your fingertips. And as always, if you have questions or need help please don't hesitate to Ask RAB at 800-232-3131.
May I remind you "The Pitch" this month features the following categories - Lawyers and Legal Services, Non-profit Arts Associations, and Salons and Spas. You uncover the lead and we support you with category research and some idea starters all ready for you to present to help generate new business. Have a success story from using "The Pitch?" Is getting the appointment with a potential new advertiser sometimes a
challenge? We sure can relate to that! The next RAB scheduled webinars are May 14 and May 16 and the content is focused on getting the appointment for valid business reasons. If you haven't signed up and want to join us, please click here.
Another important focus for the RAB this year is what we refer to as Finding Consumer Trend Reports (F.C.T. Reports). Earlier this year we partnered with Presslaff Interactive Revenue to provide you, RAB members, with a series of national online surveys of local radio listeners' lifestyle interests and buying
intentions. The first F.C.T. survey focused on Radio's most important advertising category, Automotive, and was conducted from March 12-April 2, 2013. |

The complete results of the survey will be available to you this week. A free, members-only webinar featuring the
national results will be presented on May 21 at 10AM CST and 3PM CST. To register for the "Data to Drive Your Automotive Sales" webinar, click here. To find out about local participation in future F.C.T. Reports, click here.
