Scholarships are awarded based on various criteria, including ethnicity of applicant, overall need, applicant’s enthusiasm toward a career in Radio sales, and recommendations from professional associates. Interested students can submit an application and are encouraged to do so as quickly as possible. Application forms and the schedule of classes, dates, and locations can be found at www.RAB.com. Each scholarship is valued at $1,200. Recipients may choose either a one-week program at RAB’s Dallas campus, or a two-and-a-half-day extension program conducted in cities around the U.S. Over 100 BMI-funded scholarships have been awarded since the program’s inception five years ago. The Gary Fries RAB Radio Training Academy in Dallas, Texas, and the Academy Off-Campus Extension Program offer a variety of sales and management courses at beginner and advanced levels. For information on any of RAB's Training Academy programs, call 972-753-6756.
