New York, New York – July 18, 2007 – Sheila F. Kirby, President, Strategic Sales Development for Interep, will serve as Chairperson of the RAB2008 Planning Committee, leading a select team of highly respected Radio industry professionals from a cross-section of markets and groups. “Sheila has enjoyed tremendous success in creating innovative multiple-platform marketing programs for advertisers,” noted George Hyde, Executive Vice President, Training and Meetings, RAB. “With her input and that of our enthusiastic committee members, we’ll have an RAB2008 program that will strengthen our industry’s ability to generate new marketing dollars and compete even more creatively and effectively for traditional ad allocations.”
“Multi-platform options have expanded Radio’s business opportunities,” observed Kirby. “Understanding how to maximize that potential for our advertisers is extremely important to revenue growth. I’m very excited about working with RAB and the RAB2008 Planning Committee to create a meaningful conference program that will help Radio professionals turn these new and emerging opportunities into revenue.”
Recognized as a real-world learning experience for Radio professionals, the RAB’s Management & Leadership conferences are focused on advancing the Radio industry with an emphasis on growing Radio’s share of all advertising dollars from traditional and non-traditional sources, including taking share away from other media.
