RAB Live Presentations

Nearly 4,000 RAB members registered to attend RAB's 21 live presentations including 11 'Radio Works' advertising webinars/live presentations featuring category overviews and broadcaster and advertiser success stories and case studies enabling sellers to further understand how they can prospect and call on some of radio's most important advertising categories. Additionally, throughout each month, RAB updated and promoted key RAB tools such as Instant Backgrounds and The Pitch to complement each month's featured advertising vertical.

RAB Insights has partnered with various marketing and research organizations to provide new insights and research resources to RAB's members. A few of the unique partnerships that have provided RAB with new primary research for RAB.com and live presentations include:

  • AnalyticOwl - Access to attributional data across a myriad of categories highlighting radio's ability to drive online site traffic. Live presentation participation on healthcare alongwith a companion blog post as well as data analysis of dental, real estate and lawn and garden.


  • Completion of the 11th annual digital benchmarking survey, which provides RAB members and participants information on digital sales. Findings from the 2023-2024 survey highlighted radio industry sales accounted for nearly one in five advertising dollars - a tipping point for radio.

    Additionally based on the spring survey, Borrell shared insights into how local advertisers were planning on buying and spending ad dollars in the latter part of 2023.


  • CivicScience - Data and insights into consumer and radio listener preferences. Live presentations focused on automotive and retail as well as blog companion pieces and insights.


  • Foster Garvey - A long-standing relationship, participation by principals of law firm FosterGarvey, shared considerations and information on copyright protection during a live presentation as well as updates to the Political Advertising Handbook, and Political Advertising and Cannabis FAQs. They have also authored informative blogs on topics such as how radio stations and small businesses can protect themselves from scams and have participated in various RAB live presentations and meetings.


  • Provoke Insights - An ongoing partnership that offers RAB members consumer as well as radio listener ad category insights with 14 research data reports delivered.



  • New in 2023, RAB partnered with Engagement Labs to analyze radio's ability to drive word-of-mouth conversations. This analysis showed that heavy radio listeners generate nearly FIVE BILLION brand conversations every week - greater than users of TV, social media, magazines and newspapers. RAB and Engagement Labs published the new primary research study in September 2023 with positive feedback from the advertising community.

RAB 2023 Radio Sizzle


A new radio sizzle video was made available to RAB members in October 2023. The video highlights radio's on-air personalities, our very own influencers, speaking to the power of their connections with listeners and their communities, as well as, how they partner with advertisers to help them meet their business objectives.

This year, we produced a long format version along with two short videos providing sellers with multiple options to share with clients via social, correspondence, and/or at in-person meetings and events.

Other Research Partnerships
  • J.D. Power and National Automobile Dealers Association (NADA) - J.D. Power, a well recognized organization and NADA, the organization that represents more than 16,000 auto dealers, shared current trends in automotive sales and opportunities that lay ahead for automotive and radio sellers.
  • WHY Group - Ongoing relationship with Horizon Media's WHY Group which conducted research and analyses this year on the nine cultural trends from a "Top Trends 2023" study to RAB's membership via live online presentation as well as a companion blog via the Radio Matters blog. Sixty-five members registered to attend the live presentation and over 100 have since viewed the session on demand.

Radio Matters is RAB's weekly blog delivered to the radio and advertising community highlighting radio's many attributes. The blog is celebrating its seventh year with nearly 550 posts. In 2023, with an average open rate of 30%, the blog was opened more than 200,000 times.

In 2023, we re-launched RAB's Radio On Main Street podcast featuring thematic-based content. We had three distinct series featuring interviews and discussions with marketers at the ANA Masters of Marketing conference, leading broadcasters at the NAB Show, and a complete season featuring radio's on-air influencers.
