The future of our industry rests in the hands of the young and the RAB feels a strong responsibility to identify exciting ways of attracting more of those young people.  As General Manager , NRTS, Bob Lawrence works in spearheading the recruitment, education, and development of College and University students with the Radio Advertising Bureau’s “National Radio Talent System”.  Bob has held virtually every position in the business over his 40+ year career, from being on-air in Philadelphia, San Diego, and San Francisco as well as programming legendary stations including KHTR St. Louis, KITS Hot Hits and KIOI (K101) San Francisco.  Bob also honed his research skills over ten years as Senior VP of Operations at Broadcast Architecture, eventually launching his own research company and serving as President/CEO of Pinnacle Media Worldwide for 15 years.  Bob spent five years as VP of Programming for Saga Communications but was inspired to return to the front lines of local radio where he cut his teeth 40 years earlier. He joined New South Radio in Jackson, Mississippi as GM/Market Manager and eventually combined the same management role in Meridian, as well.  Bob lives in Madison, Mississippi with his wife Risa and their four dogs and one cat.  He joined the RAB in January 2023.
