RAB Superusers

In 2024, RAB continued the monthly member spotlight - RAB Superusers - it launched the previous year to highlight committed and engaged members who utilize and leverage RAB's resources regularly. This feature provides suggestions to sellers as to how they use RAB.com to help accomplish their sales efforts. As a show of appreciation, superusers receive an RAB radio-themed premium.

Sales Advisory Committee

The RAB Sales Advisory Committee (SAC) is made up of key executives from RAB member stations from all size markets. The mission of the RAB Sales Advisory Committee is to provide RAB staff with direction on training for radio sales and marketing professionals across all brands and platforms. The committee met four times this year through Zoom and focused on the changing needs of the radio sales landscape. The committee’s attention this year has been to continue to help guide the RAB on Radio Works category presentations, which includes their own stations' participation. The committee also established a Radio Sales Recruitment and Hiring initiative focused on helping the industry recruit, hire and retain salespeople.

RAB Multicultural Committee

The diversity of the U.S. population by ethniciity, race and religion continues to grow. The reference to "minority population" is a misnomer as the majority of the U.S population is now comprised of consumers of varying backgrounds. Connecting with multicultural consumers, who posses incredible buying power, can lead businesses to incredible growth. RAB's Multicultural Committee, led by RAB Board Member Tony Coles, President, Multicultural Business and Development at iHeartMedia and President, Black Information Network, continues to evaluate the resources needed by sellers to promote the revenue opportunity for businesses to connect with these consumers and radio's unique value proposition.

The multicultural section on RAB.com includes:

  • A new video series duo focused on the connection multicultural audiences have with radio and how the targeting multicultural consumers can increase sales opportunities for businesses - locally and nationally.
  • Did you know...? series focused on Asian, Black and Hispanics consumers created to educate and highlight the nuances of multicultural consumers and the important connection radio has with them.
  • Based on feedback from our advertising partners, the RAB Multicultural Checklist provides guidance on areas radio marketing professionals should share with their advertising prospects.
