The feedback has been extremely positive for both in-person and virtual training courses.

"It really lit a fire under me. I have been doing this for almost 30 years and my love has never waivered but there was something about being in that group of people that really inspired me! Talking to the younger PD's gave me fresh perspective. I think sometimes people get 'the younger gen doesn't know anything!' but that is NOT the case at all. They just bring in a different way to look at things. Radio and media has changed so much and we need to change with it. And on the flipside of the younger PDs...talking to the seasoned folks was just as great. Seeing the spark they still have in their eyes. The excitement that you hear when they talk about what they still want to do. I also really enjoyed the exercise we did on the last day where we couldn't speak but needed to accomplish a task...that was brilliant and made me realize that my way to convey messages to others could definitely be improved. I don't think what we learned at the summit was just a 'work related' thing...it can go into all aspects of life."
Sammy Stone, Seven Mountains Media

“I have 35 years in this business and still enjoy learning, especially from great teachers and my peers. Thanks for a great seven-week course, Very well done!! Thanks again for an excellent course."
Terry Deitz, Senior VP/ Market Manager, NEPA Radio, Digital & Outdoor, Leadership MasterClass Graduate

“I really enjoyed the training, I felt that interacting with everyone was extremely beneficial and at the start of the conference I felt very intimidated by the amount of knowledge and expertise a lot of the other attendees had, but as we interacted more I quickly felt more comfortable and that intimidation turned into curiosity and comfort. I felt I could ask anything and not feel stupid which was a really nice feeling, the presenters and other attendees did a really great job at making everyone feel welcome and equal."

Rising Through the Ranks

RAB, in partnership with MIW and BMI, held the 16th annual Rising Through the Ranks program LIVE in Nashville in 2024. Again this year, we conducted a "get-to-know-you" virtual session leading up to the live two-day course. It's proven to be a positive program enhancement as it enables participants to feel connected and more confident when they arrive on site. Twenty-five scholarship recipients participated in this year's event.

The curriculum focused on the specific needs of women in radio management or those aspiring to move into management positions and worked to enhance their overall knowledge and skills. The program, featuring thirteen individual speakers, was customized to feature practical and real-world applications that graduates could immediately use within their own companies.

Additionally, the intimate setting allowed for personal success stories and leadership journeys from the featured radio executives including personal stories that set a tone of transparency, vulnerability and immense collaboration. Trisha Yearwood, award-winning artist, was this year's featured guest and shared her personal story of "having it all."
