How connected do Americans feel to their neighbors?

A Pew Research Center survey reveals that only 26% of U.S. adults know all or most of their neighbors, while 44% express trust in them. These figures have declined from previous years, indicating a decrease in neighborhood familiarity and trust. Older adults, white Americans, and those in rural or suburban areas are more likely to know and trust their neighbors.
