US power demand expected to jump in 2024 summer

U.S. electric demand is set to rise 2.7% in 2024 to 1,487 TWh due to warmer weather, economic growth, and data center expansions. Data center load will grow to nearly 21 GW in 2024, aiming for 35 GW by decade's end.
