FDA finalizes minimum age requirements for tobacco sales

The FDA finalized a rule raising the minimum age for tobacco sales to 21. Starting Sept. 30, retailers must check IDs for buyers under 30 and cannot sell tobacco via vending machines in locations where those under 21 are present.
