$219B risk from pesticides looms for food retailers: Report
A new report by Friends of the Earth and Profundo estimates $219 billion in financial, climate and biodiversity risks for U.S. food retailers tied to pesticide use on corn, soy, apples and almonds by 2050. While some retailers — including Whole Foods and Kroger — have advanced pesticide policies, most have made insufficient progress in reducing toxic pesticide use.
