Nearly 90% of metro areas registered home price gains in fourth quarter of 2024

Almost 90% of metro markets experienced home price increases in the fourth quarter of 2024, as the 30-year fixed mortgage rate ranged from 6.12% to 6.85%, according to the National Association of REALTORS®' latest quarterly report. 14% of the 226 tracked metro areas posted double-digit price gains over the same period.
