ACA enrollment increase driven by growth in states won by Trump: KFF

Enrollment in the Affordable Care Act marketplaces reached a new high in 2025, boosted by growth in states won by President Donald Trump in last year’s election, according to a research brief by KFF. Sign-ups in the insurance marketplaces have more than doubled over the past five years, increasing from 11.4 million in 2020 to 24.3 million in 2025, the health policy research firm said recently.
