ATA Truck Tonnage Index Declined 0.3% in April

The ATA's For-Hire Truck Tonnage Index decreased by 0.3% in April, marking the fourth consecutive year-over-year increase, albeit the smallest in this period. The seasonally adjusted index stood at 113.0, down from 113.3 in March. Trucking, which carries 72.7% of domestic freight, serves as a key economic indicator.
