Grocery inflation swings up 0.3% in May

Grocery prices climbed 0.3% in May, outpacing overall inflation on a monthly basis as cereals and bakery products saw the biggest increases of any major category, according to the latest Consumer Price Index report from the Bureau of Labor Statistics. The increase follows a 0.4% drop in grocery prices in April.
