Unique remote vehicle graphic creates unique sales opportunities

Unique remote vehicle graphic creates unique sales opportunities Source: John Potter, Radio Advertising Bureau Here’s an idea for programming and promotion, as well as for sales. When WRTS, Star104, purchased a new van, they wanted to make sure it had “Star Power” as it traveled the streets of Erie, PA. David Bevins and Michael Malpiedi of Connoisseur Media shared details of the vehicle graphic: a mosaic of listeners’ photos depicting the Erie cityscape. The idea was to tie the city and listeners together, emphasizing the station’s local appeal.

The morning show invited listeners to submit photos at www.star104.com. Nearly 800 photos were submitted and about 550 were able to be included in the vehicle wrap. Malpiedi tells us listeners flock to station appearances to find their photo on the van.

Revenue opportunities include sponsorship of the landing page where listeners upload photos and vehicle stops at sponsor locations when unveiling the van graphics.
