43 percent of small businesses don't want to grow

I remember a business owner years ago telling me he was scaling back because the more people he hired, the harder he was working and the less money he was making. Nearly half (43%) of small businesses don’t want to grow according to Court Cunningham, CEO of Yodle (www.yodle.com), an automated, turnkey marketing solution for small businesses.

These owners have chosen to own a small business because they don’t want to grow into a bigger business. Make sure you know your prospect’s goals before you make a presentation. It may be better to position your proposal as an “insurance policy” for continuing current levels rather than growing the business.
