RAB Sales Tips

A little help from friends

I don’t know about you, but sometimes things get a little hectic and I can’t recall how to do something very basic. Amazing how important remembering the basics are.

As marketing professionals, we all understand the importance of the basics of advertising and sales. Unfortunately, too often we are so intently focused on closing the deal or looking for the next prospecting idea that we find ourselves forgetting the basics – maintaining relationships, sharing information or just taking a minute to regroup.

I was recently reminded the importance of regrouping when Jeff Schmidt, RAB’s SVP of Professional Development received this note from RAB friend, Ted Macejko, account manager for Renda Broadcasting in Indiana:

“Jeff, the day isn’t firing until I’ve read the daily message (daily sales tip) in Radio Sales Today. I can try. Best to read the daily tip or risk missing a valuable message.”

Each weekday, a sales tip is shared with you in Radio Sales Today. Some of those tips come from sales experts or professional trainers. Ted’s note was a great reminder of the importance of regrouping and remembering the basics. Thank you, Ted!

It isn’t often that I write sales tips but after Jeff shared Ted’s note, I decided to give my friend Jeff a little help and wrote today’s tip. If you have received a little help from a friend who provided advice or guidance on sales or professional development, please share it with your friends at RAB.
