Kim Johnson is the Vice President of Professional Development of the RAB and brings extensive experience to the RAB team. She grew up in radio and one of her earliest memories is riding her tricycle through her family's first radio station. After numerous years of handing out bumper stickers and concert tickets while building an extensive wardrobe of station t-shirts she decided it might be fun to get paid for this type of work. She spent her summers during college as a promotions intern in Ft. Collins, Colorado. After receiving her degree at the University of Missouri she went on to a great career in and out of radio. Within radio she has held numerous titles including corporate promotions director, business manager, and sales account executive. Additionally, she is part owner of a broadcast group in Salida, Colorado. During her time in media sales she went through RAB training and credits her sales accomplishments to what she learned there and the research available from RAB. This experience helps her relate to the needs and challenges that managers and sales executives face on a daily basis.

Kim is passionate about empowering, equipping and inspiring people to tap into their fullest potential and live the truest expression of themselves. Kim doesn't just help others achieve professional development, she lives it.  Kim is currently working on becoming an ICF accredited professional coach, and she is committed to never stop learning and growing. She believes there is no goal or dream that is too big when people believe in themselves and have confidence in what they do, and Kim is dedicated to helping others find that awareness and strength within themselves. Kim's leadership in Rising Through the Ranks has transformed that program into the most sought-after leadership initiative for females in the industry.

Because of her passion for this industry, she truly wants to help RAB members find a professional development strategy to achieve the growth and success they desire.  She is steadfast in the belief that investing in the best asset of our industry, it's people, paves the road to personal and professional success.

Kim lives in the suburbs of Denver, Colorado with her two daughters who are ready and willing to hand out bumper stickers, and concert tickets or spin the prize wheel. Most weekends you will find her on a paddleboard or a mountainside enjoying all that Colorado has to offer.
