Radio Remains the Top Medium to Engage Consumers



On Tuesday, RAB hosted the latest live presentation as part of the One Voice for Radio initiative, "Tune Into Growth: Engaging Consumers Across Every Audio Platform." Jon Miller, Nielsen Audio, led this presentation that provided guidance on effectively and efficiently amplifying brand plans with network radio. Here are some of the takeaways from this presentation: "One of the perceptions we deal with all the time, is that 'no one is listening to audio,' 'audio is a small part of consumers' media diets' or 'radio isn't as important'," Miller said about the biggest misconception he hears about radio. "It happens that AM/FM radio remains the largest planet in the universe. It's got the largest weekly reach of all the media we measure." The same is true about monthly reach (92% of all consumers).
