Grocery inflation ticks up 0.3% in September



Grocery prices rose 0.3% in September on monthly, seasonally adjusted basis, reflecting a slowdown from the 0.6% increase in August, according to data released Friday by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. Food-at-home inflation for the full year was up 2.7%, which lagged the overall Consumer Price Index increase of 3%. Food away from home prices were up 0.1% for the month and 3.7% for the year.
