Hear from our May RAB Superuser Group and Their Success!

This month, we are recognizing Federated Media, South Bend, Indiana, as the May 2026 RAB Superuser Group. Federated Media is owned by John Dille along with Kathy Uebler, who is general/national sales manager and leads the team. We asked a few questions about RAB and radio. Read on to learn how they are tapping into RAB resources and sharing their successes.

What is the makeup of the Federated Media team – is it a mix of new and seasoned sellers?
Yes, for the most part it’s a mix of veteran sellers and a few new sellers. We are fortunate to have several on our sales teams who have made a wonderful career in this industry and have 10+ years’ experience.

How does the Federated Media sales team implement RAB resources? Is there a focus on RAB tools in sales meetings to keep member benefits top-of-mind and part of daily usage?
RAB is always a top resource for our sales team. It’s always the first step in our onboarding process for new hires and putting them through the online training program. Our management team does a good job consistently reinforcing the tools that are available to sellers moving forward, either in sales meeting, individual focus meetings, as well as group training, based on specific needs that we have throughout the year.

What are the sales team’s favorite RAB resources and tools, and why?
We use so many of the tools, but I’d say the ones that we refer to most often are: Daily Sales Tips, Prospecting tools and Research for new client meetings & presentations. And I can’t forget the Case Studies! These are a great resource to be able to provide new prospects who are considering using radio for the first time. Radio works, and these case studies demonstrate just that.

What has been the biggest success for the Federated Media sales team this year, and what contributed to that success?
Our biggest sales success this year has been finally getting legal firms to see the value in what radio can do for them. It has taken us sometime to breakthrough this category, but now that we have – it’s emerging like you can’t believe. Most of our stations in our cluster now have three to five law firms competing for ad space on our stations and it’s great that they are embracing radio and sharing in the successes for their businesses. Attorneys/Legal Firms have been a great revenue generator for our company in the last six-12 months…and I don’t see this trend going anywhere but up!

Finish this sentence: Radio Works because… it reaches people repeatedly when they are listening attentively – during work, commutes and throughout their daily routine…building familiarity, trust and recall. We often find ourselves saying…We are in the frequency business, and radio can get great results for your business.
