Parents of Children Under 18 are More Likely to Say Parents Should Let Their Children Use AI Tools

Parents of children under 18 are significantly more likely than non-parents to believe children should be allowed to use AI tools, reflecting growing acceptance of artificial intelligence as part of learning, creativity and everyday problem-solving. The study also found notable differences in attitudes based on age and parental status, suggesting that comfort with AI is becoming increasingly tied to firsthand exposure and practical use cases.

These evolving perceptions signal that AI is becoming a normalized part of family life and education, creating relevance for education, technology, consumer electronics and learning-focused services that can help parents and children use AI responsibly while building digital skills for the future.
