Farmer Sentiment Slips Again as High Input Costs Remain Top Concern

Farmer sentiment declined for the second consecutive month as producers continue to cite high input costs as their top concern, despite some improvement in crop prices and income expectations. The survey found that rising expenses for items such as seed, fertilizer, labor and equipment remain a significant challenge, while uncertainty around profitability continues to influence purchasing and investment decisions.

This cautious outlook signals a more measured spending environment across the agricultural sector, creating implications for equipment dealers, financial services, insurance providers and agricultural suppliers that must demonstrate clear value, efficiency gains and return on investment to budget-conscious producers.
