How Restaurants Can Prepare for an Influx of Aging Diners

The aging U.S. population will increasingly shape restaurant demand, with consumers aged 65+ projected to account for 18% of restaurant spending by 2030, prompting operators to adapt menus, experiences and environments to better serve older diners who visit less often but spend more per trip.

As older consumers gain spending influence and prioritize experience over price, restaurants are adjusting how they design menus, service models and in-store experiences to better align with changing life-stage dining behaviors.
