The Average U.S. Worker Falls $52,000 Short of the Salary Needed to Live Comfortably

A new analysis from MyPerfectResume found that in all 50 of America’s largest metropolitan areas, the median wage falls below the salary needed to live comfortably and maintain a stable middle-class lifestyle. From expensive coastal cities to traditionally affordable inland metros, workers are earning less than what it takes to cover housing, transportation, healthcare, food, retirement savings, and a modest financial cushion.
