Match Releases Full Singles In America Study With New Data On Gen Z, AI And Marriage



Despite dating fatigue and changing relationship norms, 76% of U.S. singles believe romantic love can last forever, up from 73% last year. Interest in marriage has also increased, with 45% saying they want to marry someday compared with 33% in 2010. Singles are looking for meaningful connections, with great conversation (47%), shared interests (41%) and shared values (35%) among the leading sparks for attraction. Financial compatibility matters too, as 71% say openness about money helps build trust.

The desire for connection and long-term relationships creates opportunities well beyond dating services. Sellers can consider matchmakers and dating services, restaurants, entertainment venues, jewelers, travel businesses, financial advisors, wedding-related businesses and event venues, with campaigns built around meeting people, shared experiences, relationships and planning for the future.
