How Latino Voters Are Experiencing The 2026 Midterm Elections
Latino registered voters are more engaged in the 2026 midterm elections than they were four years ago, according to Pew Research Center. Among Latino voters supporting Democratic congressional candidates, 77% say it really matters which party controls Congress, up from 58% in 2022, while 53% report being extremely motivated to vote, compared with 41% four years ago. Overall, Democratic congressional candidates lead Republicans among Latino registered voters, 51% to 24%, with 18% undecided. The economy remains a leading concern, with 86% saying it is very important to their congressional vote.
The findings provide useful context for political campaigns, advertising agencies, civic organizations, voter education groups and organizations involved in election coverage as they assess voter engagement and information needs. Sellers can use the research to discuss factual election information, civic participation initiatives and the importance of understanding local audiences rather than assuming Latino voters share identical concerns or levels of engagement.
