Mixed Results For August Retail Sales

Advance estimates of U.S. retail and food services sales for August 2026 (adjusted for seasonal variation and holiday and trading-day differences but not for price changes) were $773.9 billion, up 1.2 percent from the previous month. That figure is up a robust 6.0 percent from August 2025.
